The Russians themselves do not intend to hold this territory for a long time, – an expert on the liberation of the left bank of the Dnipro

In order to approach the administrative border with the temporarily Russian-occupied Crimea, Ukraine must de-occupy part of the Kherson region, namely the left bank of the Dnipro River. This is one of the necessary conditions for the de-occupation of the entire peninsula. This was announced on the air of the FREEDOM TV channel by military expert Valery Ryabykh.

“Based on the state of affairs that we can observe now at the front, we see that the Russian terrorists have concentrated their main efforts in the east and are keeping their main troops there. At the same time, in the southern direction, the enemy is trying to saturate the defense, however, the very configuration of this defense and the forces and means used there may indicate that the Russians themselves do not intend to hold this territory for a long time, ”he said.

And this, including, according to the expert, is dictated by both the physical and geographical features of the area and the ability to hold this territory.

“This is one of the most vulnerable areas for the occupiers, because this localized territory, which is located between the line of confrontation across the territory of the Kherson and Zaporozhia regions, the coast of the Sea of Azov, is a fireable space that does not allow the enemy to have a deep rear and, accordingly, fully organize the supply of troops. Therefore, in this direction, the advance of Ukrainian troops is likely to meet little resistance,” Ryabykh said.

Also, as the expert clarified, when entering the coast of the Azov and Black Seas, a situation will arise of blocking the Crimean peninsula from land.

“In addition, access to the Sea of Azov will allow using the means that are now in the arsenal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to strike at the same Kerch bridge and to completely take control of the peninsula under fire control and stop full logistics supplies. Air and sea routes will remain, but here we see progress in obtaining funds for Ukraine that will allow stopping this communication as well,” Valery Ryabykh concluded.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, over the past day, Russian troops launched two missiles and 68 air strikes on Ukraine, carrying out 67 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems. Civilians suffered, and private houses and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.
