The meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group at the leaders’ level will be held virtually in November.

This was stated in a communiqué from the White House following a phone conversation between the Presidents of Ukraine and the United States on Wednesday.

The White House noted that Joe Biden and Volodymyr Zelenskyy committed to intensifying security assistance planning together with international partners to ensure Ukraine is provided with the equipment necessary to prevail in the war.

“As part of these efforts, in November 2024, President Biden will hold a virtual meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group at the leaders’ level, where leaders will coordinate additional assistance to Ukraine with international partners,” the communiqué said.

It is worth noting that on October 12, Joe Biden was scheduled to chair a leaders’ meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine’s assistance—the “Ramstein” format. However, due to the approaching Hurricane “Milton” along the Florida coast, he canceled his trip to Europe.
