The Pfizer vaccine has become available at vaccination centers, the Ministry of Health

Pfizer-BioNTech’s Comirnaty vaccine will be in use at mass vaccination centers. It will be available to anyone with priority for the elderly and people with accompanying diseases. 

This is reported by UA with reference to the website of the Ministry of Health.

Ukraine expects to receive about 1 million doses of the Comirnaty/Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine against COVID-19 by the end of July, so the Ministry of Health has decided to make this vaccine available to the public.

Up to 2 000 vaccination points operate in Ukraine every day, administering the CoronaVac vaccine by Sinovac Biotech.

“All vaccines administered in Ukraine, are approved by the World Health Organization, they are safe and protect against severe flow of the disease, complications and death from COVID-19. According to recent studies, the CoronaVac vaccine from Sinovac Biotech has demonstrated an effectiveness of 83.5% in preventing symptomatic diseases. And 100% efficiency in preventing hospitalization and death” – said Ihor Kuzin, Deputy Minister of Health of Ukraine.

Besides, the Ministry of Health has also registered a single-dose vaccine by Johnson & Johnson.

Over the past couple of days more than 26 000 vaccinations against coronavirus were made in Ukraine.
