The United States has called on Russia and Belarus not to escalate tensions and to avoid destabilizing borders.
This was stated by US Department of Defense spokesman John Kirby at a briefing at the Pentagon, writes UA.
This happened against the background of statements about holding new joint Russian-Belarusian military exercises near the border with Ukraine. They should start today.
“We don’t want to see actions that are aggressive or destabilizing for no reason in an already tense situation” Kirby said.
To remind, the State Border Guard Service launched a special operation on the border with Belarus.
