Trump will speak in Congress about the agreement on the subsoil of Ukraine
The US President said that the issue of the resource agreement with Ukraine will be one of the topics of his address.
At the same time, answering a journalist’s question whether the agreement on minerals is “dead”, Trump replied: “No, I don’t think so.”
U.S. President Donald Trump stated that he does not consider the so-called “fossil fuels deal,” which was supposed to be signed at the White House on Friday, to be “dead.”
He said this during a speech at the White House on Monday.
The U.S. President mentioned that he would speak in more detail on the topic tomorrow in his State of the Union address to Congress.
“I’ll let you know. We’re giving a speech — you’ve probably heard about it — tomorrow night, so I’ll let you know tomorrow night. But no, I don’t think so. I think it’s a great deal for us,” Trump said, answering a question about whether he considers the deal “dead.”
Trump was also asked what he would like to see from Ukrainian President Zelensky to restart negotiations.
“I just think he should be more grateful because this country has been through everything with them,” Donald Trump said.
The deal signing fell through after Volodymyr Zelenskyy left the White House prematurely, and his joint press conference with Trump was canceled.
