The press secretary of the President of Ukraine Serhiy Nikiforov considers the possible telephone conversation between the Presidents of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the United States Joseph Biden to be a logical continuation of the format of talks between the two countries after the US leader’s meeting with Vladimir Putin.

According to the White House, the presidents of the United States and Russia will discuss a number of topics today, including the issue of Russia’s military build-up on the border with Ukraine.
“Last time, before Biden and Putin talked, Secretary of State Blinken called the Ukrainian president to assure him that there would be no word or decision about Ukraine without Ukraine. After the conversation, President Biden called President Zelenskyy, spoke about its content and assured him of US support for territorial integrity and Ukraine’s sovereignty. The same thing is happening now. Yesterday there was a conversation between President Zelenskyy and Secretary of State Blinken, in which they talked, in particular, about today’s future conversation between Biden and Putin, and then the logical step will be a telephone conversation between Biden and Zelenskyy” – Nikiforov said.
The spokesman for the Ukrainian head of state does not rule out that the conversation between the Ukrainian and American leaders will take place in the near future, but so far he cannot confirm the time, format and the fact of the conversation.
It will be recalled that on December 9, US Presidents Joseph Biden and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed the strategy for implementing the Minsk agreements, as well as the domestic political situation in our country.
