President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy is consolidating international support for our state to counter Russian aggression, attract investment and fight the COVID-19 pandemic during his visit to the United States to participate in the UN General Assembly.
This was told by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine informs.
“The President of Ukraine will meet with the UN Secretary General, and the NATO Secretary General, and with the leaders of several important states, and will hold a separate meeting with foreign investors. It will be a very eventful visit, which is scheduled literally by the minute” – the minister noted.
Dmytro Kuleba said that the theme of Crimea will be the red thread of Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s participation in the UN General Assembly and negotiations at all levels.
“It is very important. Firstly, we launched the Crimean platform very successfully. Secondly, Crimea is the number one issue for our state and diplomacy. It will not be an easy conversation with the UN Secretary General on this topic, because we want to see a greater involvement of the UN in the issues of Crimea” – Kuleba said.
The Foreign Minister added that the President will negotiate with his counterparts “on specific things in the spheres of security, politics and economics”.
To remind, 10 officials will accompany Volodymyr Zelenskyy to New York for the 76th session of the UN General Assembly. The head of state approved the list of the Ukrainian delegation by his order on September 18.
