British Defense Minister John Healey provided new details to the House of Commons about Ukraine’s defensive operations on Russian territory, stating that the longer Ukraine’s Defense Forces hold positions in the Kursk region, the weaker Russian President Vladimir Putin becomes.

This is according to a statement from the British government.

Healey emphasized that Ukraine’s Defense Forces need to strengthen their front line in the east while also aiming to maintain control of the area near Kursk.

“Ukrainians need to reinforce their front line in the east, and they are seeking to hold the territory around Kursk. The longer they hold Kursk, the weaker Putin becomes. The longer they hold Kursk, the better protected Ukraine will be,” he said.

Healey also noted that his country’s defense starts in Ukraine. The minister is convinced that if large countries are allowed to change international borders by force, it undermines the sovereignty and security of all nations.
