The heads of the US and British intelligence services, Bill Burns and Richard Moore, believe that the operation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation sowed doubts among the Russian elite.
They made a corresponding statement at an event organized by the Financial Times.
In particular, the director of the American CIA, Burns, said that the Kursk operation was a “significant tactical achievement” that raised the fighting spirit of Ukrainians and exposed Russia’s weaknesses.
“This raised questions… …in the entire Russian elite about what all this would lead to,” he said.
In turn, the head of the British Mi-6 Moore said that it was a “typically daring and bold step on the part of the Ukrainians…to try to change the course of the game.”
