The European Union condemns the militarization of Russian-occupied Crimea and attempts to restrict freedom of navigation through the Kerch Strait. This is announced in a statement by the European Union during a meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council, UA reports.

In addition, the EU is concerned about the “legislation” adopted by the occupation authorities in Crimea. According to the documents, only Russian citizens can own land in certain so-called “border regions” of the peninsula. This can destabilize the security situation not only in Ukraine and the Black Sea, but also in the region as a whole, according to the EU.

Previously, on the website of the Olympic Games, the map was corrected, where the border between mainland Ukraine and the Russian-occupied Crimea was drawn. Now the map of Ukraine is shown correctly: the border has disappeared, and Crimea is Ukraine.
