The Russians took an operational pause, there was no shelling in the south of Ukraine last night. Meanwhile, the armed forces of Ukraine hold bridgeheads on the left bank of the Kherson region, despite the enemy’s attempts to counter this. Such information was shared by the spokesman of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army “South” Serhiy Bratchuk on the live broadcast of the FREEDOM TV channel today, November 23.

“If we talk about the situation at night, then there were no air raid signals, accordingly, there were no shelling. The enemy took a certain operational pause. Kamikaze drones and missiles are not used. People had the opportunity to rest,” Bratchuk said.

As for the situation on the front in the south, according to the spokesman, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in particular, on the left bank of the Dnieper, are fulfilling their tasks and holding bridgeheads, despite enemy attacks and attempts to eliminate these bridgeheads.

“The Russians are tightening certain reserves. Including, forced to remove them from the Zaporizhia direction in order to transfer them to the left bank. This is also a certain trend, such a rather interesting nuance. There, in the Zaporizhia direction, the enemy is not doing well either. That is, it was possible to arrange a certain split for the Russians. I hope that it will be possible to implement everything planned,” emphasized Bratchuk.

According to him, the enemy continues artillery shelling of the right bank of the Dnieper in the Kherson region.

“This is one of our tasks on the left bank – to try to push back enemy artillery as much as possible so that people on the right bank of the Dnieper can breathe a sigh of relief and be safe,” Bratchuk said.

At the same time, he emphasized that it is still premature to talk about any specific results of the Armed Forces on the left bank. The situation requires informational silence, the expert believes.

“I wouldn’t be in a hurry to talk about the kilometers today, three, three, five, eight, by which the enemy has been pushed back on the left bank of the Kherson region, because there are certain tasks for our units, they perform them effectively. In particular, this can be seen from the results of the battles, since many occupiers have already been destroyed – more than 1.5 thousand killed, more than 2 thousand wounded, that’s dozens, even for a hundred passes, units of destroyed equipment and artillery systems, tanks. Accordingly, there should be maximum informational silence here. Although I think that the information I shared is enough to understand what difficult but necessary combat work our guys on the left bank do,” said the guest of the broadcast.

He believes that the situation in the Kherson region can be positively affected by the use of Western aviation by the Ukrainian military.

“We are now looking with hope at the fact that F-16 aircraft will be introduced into battle precisely in order to reduce the role of enemy aircraft for striking both on the right bank of the Dnieper and on those of our bridgeheads that have already been formed on the left bank. This will really help push back enemy aircraft. Accordingly, the Russians will be forced to leave,” summed up the guest of the broadcast.
