The draft law on the Great Ukrainian Coat of Arms was supported by the parliament

Today, on August 24, at an extraordinary meeting, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted a Bill #5712 on the Great Coat of Arms of Ukraine, UA informs.

The document was supported in the first reading by 257 MPs, 11 MPs voted against, 4 – abstained. Another 13 MPs did not vote at all.

As the explanatory note states, “the adoption of the law will contribute to the establishment in accordance with the requirements of the Constitution of Ukraine of the description of the Great Coat of Arms of Ukraine, the procedure for its use and legal protection”.
