The “peace plan” proposed by China for Ukraine does not take into account the real requirements of official Kyiv. It talks about the cessation of fire, but other, more important things are not taken into account. The PRC is silent on the issue of border control, for example. Official Beijing simultaneously wants to end hostilities, but at the same time preserve Moscow’s face. This is not an option for Ukraine. Advisor to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Mykhailo Podolyak, stated this today, February 26, on the air of the FREEDOM TV channel.
“There, the main point is one called “immediate cessation of fire.” This is the only effective thing that really exists in this plan. This means that Russia will remain in the occupied territories, we will have a new dividing line, and we will have a slow absorption of Ukraine. That is, the slow death of Ukraine,” he noted.
Podolyak drew attention to the fact that the result will be a long-term destruction of Ukraine with the constant internal influence of the Russian Federation.
“If you prescribe territorial integrity and sovereignty as unshakable canons for the modern world, then the question arises: how to implement this with an immediate ceasefire and the preservation of Russia in the occupied territories? Or then it turns out that all the main points have been said for the sake of the “red word”. Then the reputation is how? Then you demonstrate that one point does not correspond to another, which means that this is a passing document that has no value,” said the adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.
He believes that China, which claims a global role, must follow its rhetoric.
