On Wednesday, September 15, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the draft law on the state budget for 2022.

Medicine, education, the army, infrastructure, social programs, digitalization, support for entrepreneurs and the economy – are the priorities, according to Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.
The main macroeconomic parameters are: a reduction in the budget deficit to 3.5%, a decrease in public debt, an increase in wages, a stable UAH exchange rate, a decrease in inflation, a record level of GDP growth over the past 10 years.
Macro indicators
Growth of real GDP in Ukraine is expected at the level of 3.8%, inflation (December to December) will be 6.2%, the average UAH to USD exchange rate is 28.6-28.7 UAH per USD.
It is expected that the nominal GDP of Ukraine will be UAH 5368.7 billion, the average monthly salary – UAH 15258, the unemployment rate is 8.5%.
Budget options
According to the presentation of the state budget, the revenues of the 2022 state budget will be UAH 1,277.7 billion, which is UAH 161.7 billion more than in 2021. Expenses will grow by UAH 103.1 billion to UAH 1,465.7 billion. The state budget deficit is planned at the level of UAH 188 billion.
To remind, Denys Shmyhal announced that at the end of the year the average salary will be over UAH 17,500. The USD rate remains in the range of 28.6-28.7.
