The National Transport Strategy of Ukraine for 2030 envisages the construction of ten new international and internal highways.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine.
Among the new highways are: Transcarpatian highway Via Carpatia, Lviv-Kyiv-Kharkiv-Donetsk, Kyiv-Kerch and Poltava-Dnipro. In addition, the Ministry will work on the continuanсe of the Odessa-Reni highway to Greece.
The Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine estimates the total investment in the transport sector by 2030 at $60 billion.
On May 30, 2018, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the National Transport Strategy of Ukraine for 2030, ‘Drive Ukraine 2030’.
According to Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Volodymyr Omelyan, the National Strategy is a policy document that will determine the development of transport and infrastructure sectors over the coming 12 years.
