Platform of Ukraine (IBMPU), became available to users of one of the world’s largest OTT services “Kartina.TV“.
The “Kartina.TV” company was founded in 2008. It offers TV services mainly for the Russian-speaking audience, regardless of their country of residence. According to the official website of the dealer network, the company has 1,195 offices in 209 countries around the world.
Subscribers of “Kartina.TV” have the opportunity to watch the live broadcast of the “UA | TV” channel in HD quality on TV, computer and mobile devices. In addition, the viewer can review an archive of programs of the “UA | TV” channel over the last 14 days at a convenient time.
UA | TV is already available in Moldova, Estonia, Azerbaijan, Poland, Denmark, Israel, Georgia, Latvia and other.
Deputy Minister of Information Policy of Ukraine Artem Bidenko noted: “Kartina.TV is a German smart-platform that works on the Internet and focuses on the Russian-speaking diaspora. As a result, we are currently in Smart TV receivers in Russia, China, Turkey and Malaysia – 209 countries altogether. If a person has a desire and access to the Internet, they can connect to UATV in any corner of the world. ”
Recall that the launch of the International Broadcasting Multimedia Platform of Ukraine (IBMPU) was executed on October 1, 2015. In the framework of the International Broadcasting Multimedia Platform of Ukraine, the “UA|TV” channel was introduced instead of the satellite “UTR” TV channel. It is broadcast via three satellites: Amos 3, Azerspace 1, Galaxy 19, as well on its own YouTube channel.
The legal basis of the International Broadcasting Multimedia Platform of Ukraine became the Law “On the International Broadcasting System of Ukraine” developed by the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine, which was signed by the President of Ukraine on December 28, 2015. According to the law, the IBMPU is registered as a state enterprise.
