A royal St Patrick’s Day celebration. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge took part in a traditional St Patrick’s Day parade on Saturday as they visited soldiers at London’s Household Cavalry barracks.
Prince William took the salute at the Irish Guards’ parade, while his wife Catherine presented the shamrock to officers.
350 soldiers took part in the parade at the 1st Battalion’s base in wintery conditions in West London.
William drank traditional Irish stout beer Guinness, while Catherine, who is due to give birth to the couple’s third child next month, drank water.
