State Property Fund will lease a plot for the construction of a solar station.

The site is near the command and control center and the checkpoint of “Leliv” on Kirov street. Its estimated value is UAH 11.5 million (excluding VAT).

According to Parfenenko, an investor is already interested in the site, and the Kyiv regional office of the Fund is collecting applications from other potential investors. If there are more than two applicants, the Fund’s office will announce a competition for the right to lease the plot. The winner will be determined by the proposed rental price.

Also, the deputy chairman of the SPF said that the Fund has several other projects for the transfer of land on the territory of the Chornobyl NPP for lease and for the construction of “solar farms.”

It should be noted that one solar station has already been built in the Chornobyl zone – directly on the territory of the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant.

A small 1 MW SPP was built by “Solar Chornobyl,” on an area of 1.7 hectares. The lease agreement is for 49 years.

The same company won the second competition for renting part of the cooling system of the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant, covering an area of 2.5 thousand square meters.

According to YouControl, the only beneficiary of “Solar Chornobyl” is Yevhen Variahin. He is known as the executive director of solar power plant projects at “Activ Solar”, controlled by Kliuiev brothers.
