SBI Has Investigated Over 37,000 Cases

Over 37,390 criminal proceedings have been investigated by officers of the State Bureau of Investigation since its launch as a law enforcement agency. In total, 2,173 cases were submitted to court.

“To date, 37,394 criminal proceedings have been investigated by officers of the State Bureau of Investigation since its launch as a law enforcement agency. Of these, 2,173 cases were submitted to court, and 5,867 were closed. Currently, the SBI officers are investigating 14,972 criminal cases,” Acting Director of the State Bureau of Investigation Iryna Venediktova said in a video address posted on the SBI’s website, reports Ukrinform.

On December 27, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky dismissed Roman Truba from the position of Director of the State Bureau of Investigation. Iryna Venediktova was appointed as the Bureau’s acting director.
