In June, 8800 new cars were sold in Ukraine.
This is 21% more than last year. UA reports this citing the “Ukravtoprom”.
Regarding the result of the previous month, registrations of new cars increased by 4%.
The most popular brand in June was Toyota (a year ago it was Renault). It took the 1st place in the ranking with 1,296 cars sold. Thus, compared to the last year, the Japanese brand improved its June result by almost a quarter.
On the 2nd place was Renault with 986 cars (-15% by June 2020). Ukrainians gave the third place to Kia, buying 742 new cars of this brand, which is 10% more than last year. The 4th result is Skoda – 609 cars (+ 27% by June 2020). Hyundai ends the top five, with 441 registrations of new cars, which is 11% more than a year earlier.
Also in the top 10 most popular brands are: Nissan – 391 (+ 68%); VW – 384 (+ 273%); Peugeot – 383 (+ 17%); Chery – 369 (+ 129%); Mitsubishi – 367 (+ 71%).
Toyota RAV-4 became the best of the month with 547 registrations. In the first half of the year, 48400 new cars received registration plates in Ukraine, which is 30% more than in the same period last year.
