“The training of crews of Island-class patrol boats continues in the city of Baltimore. According to the program, Ukrainian sailors under the guidance of foreign instructors successfully practiced exercises to fight for the survival of the ship during a conditional fire of the class “Bravo”, which means the ignition of combustible substances” – is written in the statement.

According to the legend, the conditional fire was found in the engine room of the boat. Then the emergency party worked out the standard for firefighting and its consequences.

The military has consolidated in practice the theoretical knowledge of the operation of special equipment and clothing fire suits FFE (Firefighting Ensemble), what determines the success of the task.

These were the first practical exercises of the fifth crew of the Island-class patrol boat directly on board the ship. The sailors will soon serve on it in Ukraine.
