Saber Junction-2019: Joint Military Drills Completed

The multinational tactical exercises Saber Junction-2019 in Germany have finished.

About 6,000 military personnel from 16 NATO member states took part in the exercises, the Ministry of Defense stated.

During the two weeks of the active phase of the exercises, Ukrainian paratroopers, together with NATO member states’ militaries, carried out combat training missions in different locations, including settled areas and woods, and practiced combined arms operations.

“Frankly speaking, I’m going to miss these honest and courageous men,” Commander of the U.S. 173 Airborne Brigade Colonel Kenneth Burgess said.

During the joint photography ceremony, Ukrainian ‘maroon berets’ thanked their military partners for their expertise and joint training.
