Russian occupiers have committed more than 28,500 war crimes against Ukraine since the beginning of its full-scale military invasion. Journalists of the ‘Important Stories’ have spoken with one of the Russian soldiers who confessed to committing war crimes. To prosecute such cases lawyers proposed the creation of a military tribunal, which in addition to Ukrainian judges would include international observers, foreign advisers, and would be guaranteed security from the West and substantial funding. The Ukrainian defense minister says ‘punishment will be inevitable and not limited in time’. How Russian war crimes will be prosecuted – our correspondents found out.
