Pro-Russian Militants Violate the Ceasefire in Donbas Again

Russian hybrid forces continues to violate the ceasefire that went into effect on March 5.

Thirty-eight shellings towards the Ukrainian military were recorded in Donbas over the past 24 hours.

According to the press center of the ATO, in Luhansk, 120 mm mortars, grenade launchers and heavy machine guns were fired towards the Ukrainian military near Luhanske. 82 mm mortars were used near Troitske and small arms were fired in the area of Stanytsia Luhanska.

In Donetsk, Russian militants fired with 82 mm mortars in Avdiivka, Pisky, Shyrokyne and the Butivka mine. Grenade launchers were used in the area of Avdiivka, the Butivka mine, Starohnativka, Pavlopil and Vodiane. Heavy machine guns near Kamianka, Hnutove, Vodiane and Opytne were used. Sniper fire was detected near Pavlopil. Small arms were fired near Avdiivka, Talakivka, Verkhnyotoretske and Vodiane.

No casualties were reported.

The Trilateral Contact Group on Ukraine, which is a group of representatives from Ukraine, Russia and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, announced a complete and termless ceasefire, which went into effect on March.5, in Donbas. The group was formed as a means to facilitate a diplomatic resolution to the war in the Donbas region.
