The Ukrainian Defense Forces have taken all measures to prevent the Russian occupiers from carrying out an offensive in the Kharkiv direction. This was reported on air by military expert Serhii Grabsky on the FREEDOM TV channel.

“The Ukrainian Defense Forces have changed this priority, making it impossible to carry out this operation. And from a military point of view, it is an senseless task to hold some settlements that have no strategic or even operational significance, because they are not bridgeheads, they are not areas where strike groups can be deployed, from which to carry out an offensive. These are simply sections of territory, and such sections of territory that have not even approached the strengthening of Ukraine in this direction. They are stuck in the security zone,” he said.

The military expert stated that from a military point of view, the Russians should get out of there, because there is no point in holding on there. However, Grabsky is convinced that, based on the understanding of the effectiveness of the Russian army, the invaders will hold on to every piece of Ukrainian land.

“But they cannot pose any serious strategic threat there, because the combat potential that they invested in this offensive was destroyed by the Ukrainian Defense Forces,” he said.

Grabsky predicts that sluggish fighting will continue in the near future.

“Russia will also deploy its units and subdivisions in this direction to create the appearance of activity, an attempt to counterattack and, as they think, to hold significant units of Ukrainian troops in this direction,” the military expert said.
