Russian controlled units are conducting training of artillery units and reinforcing their positions at the front line with anti-tank missile systems, the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, with reference to data of the Main Directorate of Intelligence, reported.

“Russian-backed artillery units are being trained to practice masked advance to combat-ready assault positions, fire control and delivering fire damage to units of the Joint Forces,” the statement said.

The Russian controlled forces continue to violate the Minsk agreements regarding the withdrawal of 122 mm artillery systems.

They are pulling anti-tank systems to the front line, most likely to increase casualties among the Joint Forces and provoke retaliatory fire, intelligence added.

Russian controlled forces violate the ceasefire regime on a daily basis in Donbas. One Ukrainian soldier was killed during an attack on December 17, 2019 while a civilian suffered a fatal injury after being shot by Russian controlled forces during a heavy firefight instigated by the Russians on December 18, 2019.
