Today, it is important for Ukraine to put an end to everything connected with the Russian Federation once and for all and to get rid of agents who are trying as much as possible to seem not who they are. And with regard to the Moscow Patriarchate, this should be not just a ban, but criminal cases that should be considered in courts. This opinion was expressed on the air of the FREEDOM TV channel by political scientist Artem Bronzhukov.
“Moreover, this is not just a ban on the Moscow Patriarchate, these should be criminal cases and should be considered in court. All people who in cassocks pretended to be church ministers for years, but in fact were agents of the aggressor, should bear a completely fair and, most importantly, legal punishment, ”he said.
The political scientist emphasized that the Russian church has nothing to do with God.
“For some people, it was not particularly important to draw parallels between the Ukrainian church and the Moscow one. But today there are a lot of cases that can be cited as an example and just debunk the myths regarding the Russian church. She has nothing to do with God. This is just the promotion of Russian narratives of the “Russian world”, this is the shelter of criminals. We can remember the Brazilian terrorist Lusvargi, who fought for the so-called “DPR”, and then hid in the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra. And thanks to the Ukrainian patriots who found him there,” Bronzhukov added.
Also, in his opinion, it is necessary to work with people in terms of education and enlightenment.
“If today at the state level we engage in the policy of educating people about the church, directing and explaining why the state makes such decisions, I think no one will have such thoughts. Recall the period before the full-scale invasion of Russia, there were people in Mariupol and Kharkov who believed that, in principle, Russia was a friend and ally. But after Russian bombs began to destroy civilians, wipe entire neighborhoods off the face of the earth and showed that Putin’s position has nothing to do with friendship, union and humanism. The same thing needs to be translated into the church and explained to people. I am sure that today in Ukraine no one has any hopes that it is possible to be friends with Russia, except for open agents, who very often are just representatives of the Moscow Patriarchate, ”summed up Artem Bronzhukov.
Earlier, according to the religious scholar, historian, writer Igor Kozlovsky, the religious factor actually became part of the ideological machine of Russia, a common ideologeme, which is aimed at creating among the domestic consumer the idea that the war unleashed by the Kremlin is sacred. An attempt is made to sacralize in general all the actions of the authorities of the Russian Federation.
