Currently, a large amount of information is emerging about proposals from different countries regarding the transfer of F-16 aircraft to Ukraine. Anatoly Khrapchinsky, an aviation expert and deputy general director of a company producing electronic warfare equipment, spoke on the FREEDOM TV channel about whether Ukraine can receive these aircraft in the near future and whether the Russian Federation can prevent this.

“Currently, a lot of information is emerging regarding proposals from different countries to transfer F-16 aircraft to Ukraine. For example, they started talking about the possibility of transferring the F-16 in Sweden and Greece. These statements indicate that Ukraine has a great chance of receiving these fighters very soon. At the same time, there is an option to get not only the F-16, but also other types of aircraft that Ukraine needs. And the information that appears is just evidence of this,” said an expert in the field of aviation.

According to Khrapchinsky, Ukraine has taken a very big step towards obtaining the F-16. This applies, among other things, to the training of Ukrainian pilots, technical personnel, and infrastructure equipment for the use of aircraft.

“The transition to the F-16 cannot be quick. The minimum training to fly the F-16 is two years. The program is designed to train both pilots and engineers. It is worth noting that Ukrainian pilots are already completing training on fighter jets – they are already practicing tactical techniques, that is, actually striking targets. There is also progress in training technical personnel who will be involved in aircraft maintenance on the ground. That is, Ukraine is doing everything possible to ensure that F-16s appear in our skies as soon as possible. And it’s only a matter of time that they will appear,” the expert is sure.

He added that the information noise regarding the transfer of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine is quite unnerving for the Russian Federation.

“Russia is monitoring this information very carefully. This makes them very nervous. Therefore, shelling of Ukrainian territory at possible airfields where these aircraft can be operated has recently become more frequent. But I think that they will not be able to allow Ukraine to not get what it expects,” Khrapchinsky concluded.
