Russia turns occupied territories of Lugansk region into concentration camp – Chairman of Regional Military Administration

Russian invaders in the occupied part of the Lugansk region are equipping torture chambers and building new prisons, turning the occupied territories into real concentration camp. This was announced by the chairman of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration (RMA), Serhiy Haidai, on the air of the FREEDOM TV channel.

He believes that the more losses the RF Armed Forces have, the crueler will be the methods of their reprisals against local residents.

“The more they have losses, the more they lose the territories of the temporarily occupied Lugansk region, the front line will move towards de-occupation. And the angrier they will be, the more brutal and cruel their methods will be,” Haidai said.

According to him, the occupiers are holding people who are suspected of assisting the Armed Forces of Ukraine in torture.

“So far we do not have the exact information, but there is information from local residents that, unfortunately, in some areas of the occupied Lugansk region, such tortures have been carried out. Well, maybe these are not exactly prisons, they are more torture chambers where they keep locals who are suspected of collaborating with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, ”he said.

In addition, selective raids among people have become more frequent, Haidai says. They can just take away those who they did not like.

“The occupiers enter some settlement, take away the first people they don’t like in the amount of 10 plus or minus people, take them to Lugansk, directly to prisons, and people don’t always return from there. Not all,” said the head of the RMA.

Haidai also commented on the information that Russian invaders are building prisons in the Luhansk region. He believes that in this way they want to intimidate the locals, as well as fight deserters in their own army.

“They have two goals here. One is to intimidate the local population and somewhere to limit the possibility of leakage of information on the location of their warehouses, equipment, and personnel. And the second is the fight against our own deserters. Intimidation. Because today all this is done in such a semi-handicraft method. They catch their deserters or take refuseniks who do not want to go to the front just like cannon fodder, then give them to the “Kadyrovites”, who then do whatever they want. Starting from physical violence, up to death, ending with just violence in the most severe forms, ”said the guest of the broadcast.

Earlier, Serhiy Haidai said that more than 320 thousand residents of the Luhansk region were forced to evacuate from the region.
