Russia struck Izium in the Kharkiv region: 5 killed and 55 injured

Russian troops today, February 4, struck the center of Izyum in the Kharkiv region with a ballistic missile. The enemy targeted administrative buildings and residential buildings, there are casualties, many injured. This is reported by the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration (RMA).

According to the head of the RMA, Oleh Syniehubov, part of the city council building was destroyed due to the enemy strike.

Earlier, it was known that more than 20 people were injured, five residents of the city died.

“In Izyum, 24 people were hospitalized. Among them is a 15-year-old girl, who received a shrapnel wound, her condition is average. Three more people are in the operating room, doctors are providing all necessary assistance,” Syniehubov noted.

He specified that those killed in Izyum are two women and two men. All are civilians. The details of all five victims are currently being established.

The head of the Ukrainian state, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, responded to the tragedy.

“My condolences to the families and friends. This cruelty is unacceptable. We must put pressure on Russia, use as much force as possible – the force of arms, the force of sanctions, the force of diplomacy – to stop the terror and protect lives,” he wrote.

It was later reported that the number of victims has increased to 55, — Regional Military Administration.

Among them is a 6-year-old boy, girls aged 14 and 16.

Part of the Izium City Council building was destroyed as a result of the attack by Russian occupiers.
