The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia has issued a statement addressing the death of the Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, killed on July 31.

“Moscow strongly condemns the killing of Ismail Haniyeh, who headed the political bureau within Hamas, a Palestinian movement. Russia reiterates its insistent calls on all the parties involved to exercise restraint,” MFA stated.

Also, the Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov made a statement on the matter, saying that killing the leader of the Hamas terrorist organization will not help arrange peace in the region.

“We believe that such actions are directed against attempts to establish peace in the region and can significantly destabilize an already tense situation,” said Peskov.

Meanwhile, Tehran has already sworn vengeance for killing Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh.

“The response to an assassination will indeed be special operations—harder and intended to instill deep regret in the perpetrator,” Iran Mission to UN officially stated on X.

Iran also raised the so-called red flag of revenge over the dome of Jamkaran Mosque in the city of Qom.
