Russia needed the army for effective stealing the budget, — Zelensky’s adviser

Russia has no mobilization reserves. Russian security forces are thinking about who to blame for the failed campaign. Blame can be shifted only to Vladimir Putin. This opinion was expressed today, September 3, by the advisor to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine (OPU) Mykhailo Podolyak on the air of FREEDOM TV channel.

“The Russian army was needed in order to spray the budget very effectively. They invested money in their houses, cottages, etc. And then it turned out that it was necessary to fight somehow. And now they are fighting in numbers and understand that if Ukraine is fundamentally in this war, receiving from our partners the amount of tools we need, the Russian generals understand very well that the price of the issue for them is extraordinary,” he said.

Roughly speaking, Podolyak clarified, the amount of manpower that they can find in the space of the Russian Federation is not as limitless as it seemed to some.

“I will remind you that there is such a subject of Shoigu. He came out and once said that he had a mobilization reserve of 30 million. No, Shoigu does not have a mobilization reserve of 30 million. Certainly a much smaller reserve that they can find out there somewhere. So the generals understand this, and the security forces are thinking about who to blame for the failed campaign. It will be possible to shift the blame only to Putin in the end, but they need to be given some more time, for sure. And here I will complement Mr. Budanov, give them some time to personally reflect, gather somewhere, drink a classic Russian drink and make a decision that Putin must answer for everything he has done. That’s when, probably, some changes will take place in the conditional political leadership of the Russian Federation,” said the advisor to the head of the OPU.
