The enemy launched a massive combined attack on all regions of Ukraine today, November 17. Over the night and morning, Russian terrorists used drones of various types, in particular, “Shaheds”, cruise, ballistic and aeroballistic missiles: “Tsirkons”, “Iskanders”, “Kinzhals”. This was announced by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, reports FREEDOM.

“A total of about 120 missiles and 90 drones. Our air defense forces destroyed more than 140 air targets. The enemy’s target was our energy infrastructure throughout Ukraine. Unfortunately, there is damage to objects from hits and falling debris. In Nikolaev, as a result of a drone attack, two people were killed and six more were injured, including two children. My condolences to the families and friends of the victims. As of today, there are de-energized areas, all necessary forces have been brought in to eliminate the consequences and restore,” the president noted.

He also thanked the defenders of the Ukrainian sky.

“We are grateful to our entire air defense that was involved in repelling this attack: anti-aircraft missile forces, our aviation – F-16, Sukhoi and MiG pilots, mobile fire groups, electronic warfare – everything worked in an organized manner. Thank you for your reliable protection!” – emphasized Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The target of the Russian attack was the Ukrainian energy system.

During the combined attack, the enemy launched a massive attack on the south of Ukraine. This was reported by the spokesman of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army (UDA) “South” Serhiy Bratchuk.

“We are currently clarifying the possible consequences of the “arrivals”, there are cruise missiles that were shot down. We must say a huge thank you to our air defense systems, mobile fire groups that destroyed enemy missiles. And the fact that I am talking to you now is the result of this combat work,” Bratchuk emphasized.

However, there were consequences, in particular for Odesa: the city is partially without power, he said.

“Unfortunately, all electric transport, in particular in the city of Odesa, has stopped. There is currently no electricity in many areas of the city. Is this a preventive measure or, perhaps, these were the consequences of an attack on the energy infrastructure… First of all, the enemy attacked the energy infrastructure of both the city and the district, as well as the region. We will be able to say more in detail in some time. In any case, I would like to once again say a huge thank you to our air defense forces, because they worked simply amazingly and at the limit of their capabilities,” said the spokesman for UDA “South.”
