A thousand ballistic missiles supposedly should be delivered to Russia by Iran. This indicates the high needs of the aggressor country, as well as serious gaps in the Russian military-industrial complex (MIC). This was stated by military observer Denis Popovich on the air of the FREEDOM TV channel.
According to Popovich, Russia also intends to buy from Iran, in addition to missiles, more than 2,000 drones.
“We see numbers. There is information, how reliable it is, we will not be able to verify, that 1 thousand ballistic missiles should be delivered to Russia from Iran. That is, these needs are in the thousands. That is, 1,000 ballistic missiles, 2,400 drones. This figure was called by President Volodymyr Zelensky. These are the figures needed in order to continue the war against us. Volumes are clear to us, in general. Gaps in the Russian military-industrial complex, which was unable to provide the army with such types of weapons, are also visible to us. Of course, this does not make it any easier for us. Because all this flies on our heads. But one way or another, we can assess the degree of Russia’s unpreparedness for this kind of this kind of hostilities, ”Popovich said.
At the same time, the expert stressed whether these weapons will be delivered to Russia or not is another question. But it is obvious that the statements of the Russian Federation about the transfer of 70% of its army to new weapons are nothing but dust in the eyes, Popovich is sure.
“We are talking about the unpreparedness of the military-industrial complex to conduct such a war and that, contrary to statements on the eve of the invasion that the Russian Federation has a lot of new weapons and 70% of its army has been transferred to new types of weapons that are available, in fact it is there was blurring of the eyes. And we see the results, ”said the observer.
He also emphasized that air defense ballistic missiles are more difficult to shoot down.
“What is the problem? Because it’s a ballistic target. It develops a high enough speed so that conventional missiles cannot bring it down. At the disposal of Ukraine, this is open information, there was an anti-aircraft missile system S-300V. To shoot down ballistic missiles, you also need special types of missiles that develop very high speeds. About 4-5 speeds of sound,” Popovich explained.
