Russia does not have the forces and means for a further attack on Europe. All such rhetoric is transmitted from the leader of the Kremlin, as well as from Russian propagandists who are trying to deliberately threaten the more serious countries of the world on their channels. This opinion was voiced by a military and public figure, Major General of the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU), Deputy Chairman of the SSU (2014-2015) Viktor Yagun on the FREEDOM TV channel.
“Putin has no opportunities to further expansion to other regions of Europe. This is a person whose psychology is very simple: he will attack and threaten to that level until he receives a very specific blow between the eyes. Maybe this is not very correct, but there is simply no other way to explain the psychology of a person who is really likened to a criminal. And all this rhetoric is transmitted not only from their leader, but is transmitted by propagandists who are trying to threaten more serious countries of the world on their channels. But no one can really do anything.” – Yagun said.
He reminded that the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation is blocked in the Black Sea and cannot even carry out any operations in the oceans:
“The grouping in the Mediterranean is completely under the control of NATO allies. There is a Russian aircraft carrier there. However, they also cannot operate anything, because their one Syrian port is the only place that provides them with efficiency. The Russian Baltic Fleet is closed in Kronstadt. They cannot get out of there, since Finland and Sweden are actually already in NATO. That`s why the Alliance control the Baltic Sea together with all the Baltic countries”, – the expert noted.
Yagun also stressed that everyone understands this situation, countries are calculating all the risks and preparing for possible threats:
Blinken said that the United States is transferring a huge amount of money not only to the defense of Ukraine, but to 17 other countries. As we can see, 18 countries, together with Ukraine, which may become targets of a strike from Russia in the near future. That`s why, this countries are actually preparing for a possible strike by the aggressor. In Russia, everyone sees and understands this well. They just don’t have the power. They do not have the opportunity to do some operational things in Ukraine, to attack somewhere or even defend themselves. ” – Yagun summed up.
