Today, November 8, the Russian Federation troops attacked cities and communities in Ukraine. In the Odesa region, one person was killed, in Kharkiv, more than 25 people are known to have been injured, including a baby. This was reported by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, FREEDOM reports.

“All evening and night, terrorists attacked our cities and communities. Rockets, drones and KABs against the Odesa, Kharkiv, and Kyiv regions. In Kharkiv, more than 20 people are currently known to have been injured, including a baby. Residential buildings and infrastructure were damaged. As a result of strikes on the Odesa region, there is damage to ordinary houses. One person was killed. My condolences to the families and friends. Nine people were injured,” the president said.

According to him, emergency rescue operations are continuing in Zaporozhzhia, where after the attack on November 7, terror claimed the lives of 8 people, more than 40 people were injured, including four children.

The death toll from the Russian aerial bomb strike on Zaporizhzhia has risen to 10, according to the State Emergency Service.

Another 41 people were injured, including some with severe injuries, among them a 5-year-old boy.

Zelenskyy reported that the Defense Forces destroyed four air missiles and about 60 attack drones that the Russian Federation used against Ukraine.

“Thank you to our defenders of the sky, who are doing everything possible to protect people from this terror. Gratitude to everyone who saves and helps our people,” the president noted.

He added that only decisive joint actions by allies can counter terrorist attacks by the Russian Federation.

“It is important to act jointly and decisively at the international level every time Russia tries to destroy our lives. To act to reduce the potential for terror, to block it. Ukraine needs strength for this. This is the only way to achieve a just peace and stop the deaths of our people. Air defense, long-range capabilities, weapons packages, sanctions against the aggressor – this is the answer that is needed not only in words, but also in actions,” Zelenskyy said.

Recall that at the EU summit in Budapest, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on partners to provide more weapons and resources so that Ukrainians could effectively fight Russian aggression.
