The restoration and reconstruction of Ukraine are among the international cooperation priorities of Italy, which will host the next Ukraine Recovery Conference in 2025.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy Edmondo Cirielli stated this at the final plenary session of the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Belin on Wednesday, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

Cirielli also said that Italy intends to open an office of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation in Kyiv.

He pointed out that Italy mobilized EUR 72 million in grants to support various energy initiatives in Ukraine last year. In total, the country has contributed EUR 100 million to support the Ukrainian energy sector. This year, the Italian government is preparing an economic aid package worth EUR 140 million for the restoration of Ukraine’s infrastructure.

As reported by Ukrinform, on June 11-12, Berlin hosts the Ukraine Recovery Conference, which is attended by more than 2,000 politicians, diplomats, businesspersons, and representatives of civil society.
