The Russian leadership does not know how to effectively manage the country. The intelligence officers who are in power do not have the skills of creation. However, Russian President Vladimir Putin is trying to regain normality, intending to change the legislation on “foreign agents”. This was announced on the air of the FREEDOM TV channel by Professor, Doctor of Political Sciences, head of the Ukrainian expert group “Owl” Mykhailo Savva.
According to him, repression in the literal sense is the actions of the authorities that lead to the restriction of human rights or to the deprivation of liberty. And the fact that Russians are taken by force to the war against Ukraine is part of the state policy.
“And such an unknowing part. It is unlikely that the Russian authorities deliberately worsen people’s lives. It is unlikely that they deliberately do so that there is no choice left. But the Russian authorities simply do not know how to govern effectively. They just don’t know how to create. Because when intelligence officers are in power, they don’t have the skills to create, they don’t have the skills to develop the economy, they just fail all this, despite the huge resources that the Russian Federation disposes of,” says Savva.
The doctor of political sciences also commented on the information that Putin instructed to analyze the law on “foreign agents”.
“There will be no insight until the very end. This is an attempt to regain the image of normal. After the open aggression against Ukraine, serious doubts arose all over the world, but how normal are the leaders of the Russian regime in general? I drew attention to the response words, for example, Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov said that the Russian leadership has serious doubts about the adequacy of Western leaders. This is an obvious answer. That is, they react to what excites them. And with these statements about what needs to be analyzed and corrected, to make the legislation on foreign agents more sane, Putin is trying to regain normality, ”he said.
According to the professor, the Russian dictator does it in other ways as well. For example, he meets with African leaders and tells them that Russia is doing everything right.
“But these are attempts that will in no way affect the state of human rights in Russia, will not improve it in any way. Because even if some formal changes are made to the legislation on foreign agents, the law enforcement practice will remain the same, absolutely repressive. For example, they will be allowed not to mark posts about their personal lives with a note that they are foreign agents, and then they will start jailing for this, ”summed up Mykhailo Savva.
