Putin will not be able to transfer the “Special military operation” to the “Great Patriotic” regime: the political scientist named the reasons

Russia is not yet ready for a full retreat from Ukraine, but it will have to prepare because it does not have the resources to operate on such a long front line. At the same time, Putin will not reformat what the Kremlin calls a “special military operation” into the “Great Patriotic War” regime with the full mobilization of all resources. Political scientist Oleg Sahakyan shared this opinion on the FREEDOM TV channel.

He emphasized that not only the retreat from the right bank of the Kherson region but also all the previous retreats of the Russian occupying forces indicate that “they swung at a piece larger than they are able to swallow.”

“In these conditions, you must shrink to what they think they can control. But each time they still decrease not as much as they are really capable of controlling, but so that it doesn’t hurt much … Then I have to do it again and again. And now it is absolutely obvious that Russia will have to leave the territories: either they will be forced out of there by force, or they will have to leave under the onslaught of Ukrainian troops, ”comments the guest on the air.

According to the political scientist, the retreat from the right bank of the Dnipro is not the last retreat of Russia this year, which the Kremlin will again try to present as some kind of “wise decision”. At the same time, Sahakyan notes that the loss of Kherson was a blow in the stomach for the Russian Federation and raises the question of transition to the “People’s” or “Great Patriotic” war regime with the full mobilization of the economy and population.

“But trouble. In order to move to this regime, it is necessary to recognize that the “Special military operation” failed. It was started by Putin who personally took responsibility in order not to allow an attack on Russia, as the Russians were told. The barrier to moving on to this war lies in the recognition of Putin’s responsibility for the failed decision. And, of course, the Putin regime will not agree to this,” Oleg Sahakyan is sure.

In his opinion, Russia will wage war against Ukraine, as it is now, trying to throw “cannon fodder” at the front line.

“Further on, more and more live meat will be thrown onto the Ukrainian fronts. This does not make it any easier for us. It is difficult for us… And for Ukraine, of course, this is a tragedy. But for Russia, it will be a catastrophe… Both “goodwill gestures” and “negative offensives” will continue in the future,” the political scientist emphasized.
