The founder of the private military company Wagner continues to oppose the Russian Federation Ministry of Defense, and generally acts as if he is already leading the race for the throne after Putin’s fall. This is the most important question for me,” she said.
Here, if there is no decision to remove Prigozhin physically or in principle from the media space, then he will continue to speak out against representatives of the Russian elites, the analyst says.
“For me, this desperation of his remains incomprehensible. Is it really such a subtle game of political strategists, or is it already that he finally cut off all the strings that they pulled on him? … He behaves as if his hands are completely untied. And as if he really leads the race for the main throne after the fall of Putin. However, the question is different: will Prigozhin be ready to contribute to the fall of Putin? Recall that from June 10, all “volunteer formations”, such as PMC “Wagner”, must sign a contract directly with the Russian defense department. However, Prigozhin said that none of the “Wagnerites” was ready “to go down the path of shame again. Therefore, they will not sign contracts.”
