President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that 30% of the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are currently covered by domestic production.
The Head of State said this during a conversation with media representatives, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Our domestic production is growing very strongly. We are currently producing 30% of what we need [we are talking about the needs of the army]. It’s not enough, but it’s a lot, and it’s more than each of the European countries is doing individually,” Zelenskyy said.
According to him, the Ukrainian defense industry will not stop and will increase production.
“We will still increase production, first of all, of drones, electronic warfare devices, artillery,” the President said.
According to him, even if the war ends, we will still be close to “this neighbor”.
“We understand that while we are not in NATO, we will rely on ourselves and our partners, but we are the key,” Zelenskyy emphasized.
As Ukrinform reported, last year, thanks to the joint efforts of Ukraine and partners, more than 1.5 million drones of various types were produced, and Ukraine is now the world leader in the field of unmanned warfare.
