Ukraine is creating a platform where Russian President Vladimir Putin will be forced to admit his defeat in this war and will not be able to implement any of his plans. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a press conference at the forum “Ukraine. Year 2024”.
“We will offer a platform where Putin can agree that he lost this war and that it was a mistake. For him it is a minor one, but for us it is a tragedy. And for the entire democratic world, it is a tragedy, of course. That is why there must be justice in this matter,” the Head of State emphasized.
The President expressed his belief that Ukraine will not lose this war, as it has already passed its most difficult period – at the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion two years ago.
“At least we don’t have this alternative of not winning. There is no option of losing. Because if Ukraine loses, we will cease to exist. Hence, such an ending to the struggle for our lives is definitely not an option for us,” he emphasized.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that the outcome of this war depends, in particular, on Ukraine’s partners.
“If we are strong, if we have weapons, we will not lose this war. We will win. Because all of Putin’s steps backwards will definitely have a big impact on his society. And he will be thinking about internal security. Today, Putin is always talking about plans for 2030. He has a vision until 2030. And we would like to get him over with earlier,” the President explained.
The Head of State also noted that Ukraine, in particular, has been working for a long time to obtain long-range weapons.
“I am positive about the recent response from our partners regarding these weapons,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
