Volodymyr Zelenskyy put into effect the sanctions of the National Security and Defense Council against members of Russia’s secret services. The list includes 28 people.
The relevant decree was published on November 18 on the website of the Office of the President of Ukraine, UA informs.
“In accordance with Article 107 of the Constitution of Ukraine, I decree: to put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine of August 20, 2021″ On the application of personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions)” – the decree reads.
The sanctions affected Russian citizens who head the so-called “law enforcement agencies” in the occupied Donbas. In addition to Russians, the list includes former deputy head of the Security Service of Ukraine in Luhansk region Roman Gordidan, former employee of the Stakhaniv branch of the Security Service of Ukraine in Luhansk region, Oleg Londarev, former the Security Service of Ukraine officer Igor Zubkov, who work for the occupation regime in Luhansk. The list also includes Donetsk “militant” Mykola Karchuk and “DPR Ministry of Justice official” Serhiy Tkachenko.
The list of persons against whom the National Security and Defense Council sanctions have been imposed can be found on the Office of the President website.
Restrictive measures include blocking of assets, restriction of trade operations, partial or complete cessation of transit of resources, flights and transportation through the territory of Ukraine, prevention of capital outflows outside Ukraine, revocation or suspension of licenses and other permits, etc. Sanctions are imposed for a period of three years.
