When the great war against Ukraine continues, the allies use all factors of influence on Russia. They should be involved by the entire international community. Today, June 28, the diplomat, extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina (2010-2017) Oleksandr Levchenko stated this on the air of the FREEDOM TV channel.
“In this regard, Poland shows initiative, a model of how to respond to the actions of the Kremlin, it helps Ukraine to resist the Russian aggressor and calls on NATO countries and the entire world community to act together to stop Russian aggression, which is a violation of all current international legal order and is the country that started the biggest war after the Second World War, i.e. after 1945,” he said.
This is how the diplomat commented on the recent speech of Polish President Andrzej Duda before the country’s ambassadors in various countries, in which he said that “we are at a moment in Polish history when we are playing at the highest stakes. At stake is the position, security, and importance of Poland in the coming decades, perhaps even centuries. This is the time when the issue of the quality of life of the next generations, of Poles, maybe even the future of Poland in general, the future of the nation, the future of freedom, sovereignty and independence is decided.” The appeal was primarily devoted to the fact that it is necessary to stop the war on the territory of Ukraine, so that it does not turn into the territory of the European Union.
According to Levchenko, military and soft forces are used to influence the aggressor country Russia.
“Soft power is sanctions, sanctions policy. Because military power is understandable, it is military support for Ukraine, the provision of missiles, tanks, and armored vehicles. Now we hope for aviation. Soft power is the persuasion of Moscow to abandon its aggressive policy with sanctions against companies, individuals, as well as political actions of international organizations in order to isolate Russia, show how aggressive its policy is and does not find support among most countries of the international community,” the ambassador explained.
