PMC “Wagner” in Belarus does not pose a danger to Ukraine – analysis of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine

The presence of Wagner PMC in Belarus does not affect the security situation in Ukraine in any way. One of the tasks of such a redeployment is to keep Ukraine in suspense and scare it with an invasion from Belarus. Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, spoke about this on the air of the FREEDOM TV channel.

“Information is being monitored and the score has not changed recently. Actually, as at the time when the Russian IPSO pushed us to a certain hysteria that “tomorrow Lukashenka will join the ground operation against Ukraine and there will be an invasion from Belarus” and Ukrainian intelligence said “no, this will not happen, and there is no such information “. The same is happening with Wagner PMC. One of the tasks of the redeployment is to constantly keep Ukraine in suspense, pull off forces and means and scare them with an invasion from Belarus. And the amount that is being moved does not significantly affect anything in terms of security,” Yusov noted.

He also specified that the “Wagners” are moving in Belarus without weapons.

“We see that these are long columns – cars, vehicles. But this is not something that will significantly affect the situation at the front, or create additional threats today. However, the situation is being closely monitored,” says Yusov.

For Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko, Wagner has become another source of income, Yusov said. Prigogine will only appear in Belarus from time to time, the speaker believes.

“For Lukashenkо, this is another source of income associated with Russia, since the Wagner PMC remains a rich and diversified corporation with various elements of income all over the world, including in Africa … And since the conflict between Prigozhin and Shoigu is not over, and this situation continues, then for Lukashenkо here, of course, as a player, the position has improved, ”said the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense.
