Last year on Oct. 30, Amina Okuyeva, an Anti-Terrorist Operation Zone soldier, was killed by gunfire.
She and her husband, Adam Osmayev, were in a car traveling just outside of Kyiv, when they were fired upon from another car. They had survived previous assassination attempts, but on that day, Okuyeva did not.
Okuyeva’s combat brothers remember that she was a fearless warrior.
