Petro Poroshenko: Ukraine will soon enter top 50 of Doing Business ranking

The President said this, speaking at the Ukraine House in Davos, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“We hold the 76th position in Doing Business ranking, but I’m sure that we will enter top 50 in a short time. It is absolutely real as our team works to achieve this,” Poroshenko said.

He noted that the budget deficit in Ukraine had been 15% three years ago, and now this figure is less than 3%. According to the President, this figure may decrease to 2% in the current year.

Poroshenko also noted that the banking system of Ukraine had significantly improved. In addition, Ukraine has macrofinancial stability and takes important steps in the field of cybersecurity. These factors, in his opinion, should attract investors to Ukraine.

Ukraine has moved from 153d to 76th position in the Doing Business ranking in three years.
