February 9, Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau starts his two-day visit to Ukraine. Polish diplomat will visit Kyiv and the contact line in Donbas, Łukasz Jasina, Polish MFA Press Spokesperson, said in a commentary for Polskie Radio
“There is something tangible there, not just declarations; OSCE SMM mission is dealing with this frozen or not completely frozen conflict,” Łukasz Jasina assured.
Zbigniew Rau is also the current OSCE Chairman-in-Office; Ukraine would be his first foreign trip. February 4, Minister Rau met with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken. They discussed the steps taken by the international community in recent days to find a solution to the strained situation around Ukraine related to the intentional escalation of tensions by Russia.
As reported before, February 8, Berlin, presidents of France and Poland, Emmanuel Macron and Andrzej Duda, as well as German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, discussed Russian escalation around Ukraine. The leaders of the three countries emphasize the need to achieve a peaceful solution of the issue.

Polish Government adopted a resolution on the free transfer of military equipment to Ukraine’s Armed Forces. The first batch of US soldiers arrived in Poland with the bulk of the contingent to follow. It is planned to send nearly 3,000 extra troops to Poland and Romania to shield NATO eastern flanks.
