Oleksandr Usyk won the rematch against Tyson Fury, defending his championship belts

The fight took place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. At stake were the WBA, WBC, WBO and IBO heavyweight belts, as well as the WBC commemorative belt dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the legendary fight between Muhammad Ali and George Foreman.

The judges unanimously favored Usyk—all three scored it 116–112.

Oleksandr Usyk’s First Words After Defeating Tyson Fury:

“I won. Today is an important day for me—my sons also won their judo matches. They told me, ‘Dad, you’re next.’ I replied, ‘Alright,'” Usyk said.

Oleksandr Usyk dedicated his second victory over Tyson Fury to his mother:

“I want to dedicate this victory to my mom, who has worried and been nervous for me for many years. And to all the mothers of Ukraine,” Usyk said.

He had dedicated his first victory over Fury to his father.
