Netanyahu discussed the resumption of hostilities in Gaza with Rubio

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a conversation in which they discussed the release of hostages and the resumption of hostilities in the Gaza Strip.

The corresponding statement was published by the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office, reports Ukrinform.

“Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had a conversation with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio,” the statement says.

It is noted that the parties discussed regional developments, including the release of hostages and the resumption of hostilities in the Gaza Strip.

“Secretary of State Rubio expressed the unwavering support of the United States for Israel and its policies,” added Netanyahu’s office.

As previously reported, on March 19, the Israeli military announced the resumption of ground operations in the central and southern parts of the Gaza Strip.
